Our Story
About the Review
A student-run, faculty-advised journal dedicated to publishing rigorous undergraduate research in economics, public policy, and related fields.
Mission
Advancing economic scholarship at William & Mary and beyond.
The Economic Review at William & Mary is a student-run, faculty-advised undergraduate journal dedicated to publishing rigorous research in economics. We provide a platform for outstanding scholarship produced by undergraduates at the College of William & Mary, holding submissions to the standards of peer-reviewed academic inquiry.
Our editorial process mirrors that of professional academic journals: all submissions undergo blind peer review by a panel of student editors with faculty oversight, ensuring that published work meets a high bar for analytical rigor, methodological soundness, and intellectual contribution.
History
The Inaugural Volume of the Economic Review.
The Economic Review was founded by students in the Department of Economics at the College of William & Mary with the goal of creating a serious venue for undergraduate research. As it is our first year of operations, we are excited to publish our first volume of the Economic Review.
We publish two issues per year — in the fall and spring — spanning the full breadth of modern economic inquiry, from macroeconomics and public finance to behavioral economics, development, and environmental policy.
Submissions
We welcome original undergraduate research.
We accept original research papers from current undergraduates at William & Mary across all areas of economics and related disciplines. Strong submissions typically feature original empirical analysis, a well-defined research question, and engagement with the existing literature.
Papers are reviewed on a rolling basis. Authors whose work is accepted will work closely with our editorial team through revisions before publication.
